About Us

The Shared Research Facility "Kamchatka Center for Elemental, Mineral, and Isotopic Analysis" is a structural division of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, FEB RAS.

The SRF is equipped with modern analytical equipment for a wide range of studies in geochemistry, mineralogy, and isotope geology.

Main Research Areas

• Elemental analysis of rocks and minerals by ICP-MS and ICP-OES methods
• Mineralogical studies using XRD, SEM-EDS, Raman spectroscopy
• Isotope studies (Sr, Nd, Pb, U-Pb dating)
• Analysis of natural waters and gases
• Sample preparation of geological specimens
